The music of the Metroid series is so atmospheric but at the same time so metal-friendly. It allows me to do what I'm the most comfortable with while also challenging my abilities at the same time. For this track, I didn't have a whole lot of structure to work with so I basically took the song apart and built my own arrangement out of it. I decided to incorporate some clean guitars to give it the atmospheric vibe that the original has. I also got to bust out the choirs which I always enjoy and I find that it adds a cool texture to the riffs much like the original Brinstar piece. For the leads, I used a lot of restraint and didn't shred a whole lot because the track just didn't really call for it. It's way more about the groove and the vibe this time around.
