Frito Pie (Las Cruces, New Mexico Style)

This is a mash up of Zia Cooking recipes we have shared in the past. A true NEW MEXICO classic. 1 pound (0.45 kg) ground beef cooked with finely diced onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. 2–4 cups red chile 3 cups (0.71 l) cooked pinto beans. Combine well and cook over medium heat. Can be used for Frito pies or chile cheese dogs. Layer corn chips in bowl, top with chile, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and sour cream.
