My CD Collection Storage Solution - Why I am exchanging single CD Jewel cases with Poly sleeves. This is a video about storage, it is a story about basically running out of room. I love my music collection and collect and enjoy both vinyl albums and CDs. However, my to play pile was getting higher and higher and mostly because I did not have enough room to file them away. I have put some into crates which not only looked ugly also meant it was a real hassle to get to anything. I know a lot of CD fans will look at this with horror but I also know that many other will be saying "I did that years ago" and "where can I get those from?" I have only done this with single CD Jewel Cases. I have left double CDs, fatboxes, digi packs are as they were but it has given back so much space. The CDs that I have converted feel like mini vinyl albums and I can easily browse and enjoy my collection again. Some people will say what happens if you want to sell any of them? I have no intention of selling anything and if I did you can always pick up empty CD cases and just reverse the process. One of these things I noticed during the removal of 2,500 single jewelcases was how much they are not part of the actual album. They are just a bit of replaceable plastic. They are not the artwork or the music, they are just something to put those items in. Let me know what you think in the comments!
