Test Driving this naked 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT. The body panels are off as it is prepped for painting. This mid-engine Fiero GT has been engine swapped with a 3800sc Supercharged L67 with ZZP Stage 2.5 intercooler, ZZP XP camshaft, upgraded heads, Jet-Hot coated ZZP powerlogs, and many more upgrades. It isn't an LS Swap, but it is almost as good and has lots of support. It is on the home stretch for this restoration of GM's mass produced mid-engine car and this engine swap. The C8 Corvette has a great uncle in this 1987 Fiero GT. The top guesses are Toyota MR2, Chevrolet Corvette, and a few people have actually said Mazda Miata MX6. The Pontiac Fiero competed with the Toyota MR2. The original MR2 was squared off, but the 2nd generation MR2 looks like it took cues from the Fastback Fiero GT. The 2020 and 2021 Corvette C8 have a similar mid-engine layout and the front trunk and rear trunk are in close to the same location.
