This is an explosive Podcast from one of the UK’s most underrated boxers, George “Hithard” Hillyard, aka Gorgeous George. He was gracious enough to take time away from training and filming of a documentary to get deep and personal, with no holes barred honest and frank look at his life going back to his childhood. He made his professional debut back in 2005 in a fight with Geraint Harvey at Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham. He went on to win the fight by TKO and followed it up with another win 3 months later against James Gorman in Scotland. Since then, George has gone on to fight at the legendary York Hall in Bethnal Green 8 times, managing to reach the quarter finals of the Light Middleweight ‘Prizefighter’ After the heartbreak and betrayal by loved ones and management he moved back to the uk from Vegas after being trained by Frank Mayweather. He discusses getting used by crypto geeks who featured in “Bitcon” currently streaming on Netflix, years later he excels as a Bare Knuckle Boxer. George is due to fight at London's O2 arena shortly after the filming of this podcast. Things discussed are: Him being described as world class, almost genius like in the ring. How he unknowingly almost broke a world record when knocking someone out. The ins and outs of the boxing world, and how being signed actually works, Do you get your fee in one go??? Listen to find out how the boxing world ticks and how from just a few people a lot of things happens. George talks about being from a world before social media to being thrust into the limelight and how promoters don't just want to know about how hard you can hit but how much of an instagram following you have. The “Bitcon” Documentary was discussed currently streaming on Netflix and how the Mayweather camp and the like of DJ Khaled were sucked into such an audacious scam. The Multipliers Club go through the heartbreak and betrayal of not only Georges management stealing funds and leaving him with the harsh words of “If you want loyalty, go get a dog” but being set up by a woman he loved who entrapped him with a dictaphone setting him up for her own benefit. George's boxing licence was not renewed because he said a few things that got taken out of context in the public eye and now in his 40’s he finds himself once again going back to where it all started as a 10 year old on the street fighting with his barefists. Lots of names are dropped and lights are shone on the sporting world about things that should probably stay in the dark. Do not miss this, it will peak your interest.
