He not only received a bachelor's degree, but he received it summa cum laude (meaning with the greatest honor), and he did it in just a year, which would normally take a regular human three years. He told the Dutch daily De Telegraaf that it didn't matter to him if he was the youngest person to receive a bachelor's degree. It was all about gaining information for him. He completed his high school education in just 1.5 years and received his high school diploma at the age of eight. Last year, he became interested in classical mechanics and quantum physics, and he quickly became obsessed with knowing everything he could about them. He then placed all of his other projects on hold in order to focus only on this. His goal is to make humans IMMORTAL. According to Simons, quantum physics was only the first piece of his puzzle in his quest to replace bodily components with mechanical ones and attain immortality. He claims to have charted a course to do so, working with the greatest professors in the world and seeing inside their heads to learn how they think. His next objective is to graduate from the University of Antwerp with a master's degree in physics. He'd be working on his Ph.D. at the same time.
