Taxonomy is a system of classification. Player Taxonomy, therefore, is an attempt to divide players into certain types in order to better understand play and market behaviors. In this video, I break down the classic 5-type division from Mark Rosewater, and use it to rate various Fire Emblem games according to how much I feel each game appeals to each type of player. Feel free to disagree with my rankings, but just know that I'm not trying to say a certain game is "good" or "bad," just that they appeal to different types of players.
