So the donor area which is from the back of the scalp hair roots are extracted and is transplanted to the recipient area. So the hair which are transplanted to this new area they will go through a hair cycle which is consisting of anagen, catagen and telogen. Agagen hairs which are the growth phase of hair, telogen. Catagen is resting and then the shedding stage. So once your hair is transplanted in the first one to two weeks they are still in anagen phase because of which you may see some hair growth and small hair sprouts growing . But after 2 weeks you start seeing the hair stop growing and then they enter a catagen or a resting stage stage. In the next few days it enters a shedding stage that is after 2 weeks you start seeing the hair has started falling off after transplantation. It is a very natural phenomena so no need to be concerned about when you are washing your hair you can see the hairs with the tip having a white bulb and the scab of the skin which is transplanted is also remaining. So with the scab you will see a small white tip at the bottom of it. This is not the hair root, this is just a bul and this is a shedding stage because of which the hairs will fall off and they will regrow. This is completely natural it doesn't mean your hair follicles or Roots have gone the hairs will grow back they are in resting stage. So you should give around 2 to 3 months of time for these hairs to rest so that they have got proper blood circulation nerve supply and they grow healthy hairs . You'll start seeing after 2 or 3 months some hairs have started growing but it is not complete growth. Usually you start seeing some hairs growing after 6 months also some are growing after 1 year. So you get a full growth of hair transplantation around 1 year. So this shedding usually starts around 10 days and last till 1 to 2 months .
