Complete walk through Moscow Kremlin | Kremlin Armoury Chamber, Museums and Cathedrals | Russia 2021

The Moscow Kremlin is the oldest part of the Russian capital Moscow and its historical center. The original castle on the Moskva River, dating from the Middle Ages, was rebuilt as a citadel beginning in the late 15th century. It served as a residence for the Grand Princes of Moscow until the 16th century and then for the Russian tsars until the capital was moved to St. Petersburg in the early 18th century. In the Middle Ages and early modern times, the Kremlin was also the seat of the metropolitans and later patriarchs of Moscow. After the October Revolution, it once again became the center of state power in 1918: initially the seat of the Soviet government, it has been the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation since 1992. The name "Kremlin" is therefore also used as a synonym for the entire Soviet or Russian leadership. Characteristic of the architectural ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin is its fortification complex, which consists of a triangular boundary wall with 20 towers. It was built for the most part between 1485 and 1499 and is well preserved to this day. After its completion, it served several times as a model for similar fortresses built in other Russian cities. Within the Kremlin walls are numerous sacred and secular buildings - cathedrals, palaces and administrative buildings - from different eras. Last but not least, the Kremlin is a museum and, as Russia's political and formerly religious center, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990. Together with the neighboring Red Square, which is also on this list, the Kremlin is commonly regarded as Moscow's most important sight. The Kremlin is open to the public and offers individual and group guided tours. Visible are the Cathedral Square with its museums and cathedrals, Armoury Chamber, Tsar Cannon, Tsar Bell, artillery pieces, and the exposition of Russian wooden sculpture and carvings. The Moscow Kremlin Armory Chamber is one of the most famous museums of applied arts in Russia. The building, which now houses the exposition, dates back to 1851. On two floors are exhibited, among other things, historical weapons, jewelry, monarch insignia including the famous cap of Monomakh and unique pieces of goldsmith's and silversmith's craft from the period from the 13th to the 19th century. In total, the armory has more than 4,000 exhibits. Exposition of the Armory Chamber The main entrance to the armory leads to the lower basement, where there are checkrooms, souvenir stores and ticket offices. A staircase leads to the exposition via the higher upper basement floor, the premises of which are now occupied by the Diamond Fund; its entrance is also located there. One flight of stairs further on, visitors first enter the vestibule of the second floor. As a rule, however, guided tours begin with the exhibition halls on the second floor. A wide parade staircase with marble banisters leads to it from the second floor vestibule. Second floor The exhibition rooms on the second floor of the armory occupy a total of five halls. The main focus is on historical weapons as well as everyday objects and church utensils made of precious metals, which once belonged to the tsar's court or the palaces, churches and monasteries of the Kremlin. First floor The exhibition space of the first floor is divided into four halls. The first of them is reached by a staircase from the vestibule. Here are exhibited masterpieces of Russian embroidery craft, including especially representative parade robes of Russian princes, tsars, emperors and church leaders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equipment I Use ►Camera: https://amzn.to/49b7RTf ►Gimbal Stabilizer: https://amzn.to/45QX25N ►Microphone: https://amzn.to/3sl7IMw ►Action Cam: https://amzn.to/3QyEhQa ►Extension Rod: https://amzn.to/3MlxAOY ►Memory Card https://amzn.to/3QOTZHj ►Drone: https://amzn.to/3SffEJL ►Laptop: https://amzn.to/3FGYP2C ►External Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/40kQQ51 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapters: 00:00 On the entrance bridge of the Moscow Kremlin 01:50 Walking in a yard full of cannons 07:35 Tsar Cannon 08:51 On the Cathedral Square 15:30 Assumption Cathedral 19:23 Patriarch's Palace with Church of the Twelve Apostles 27:18 Archangel Cathedral 29:04 Treasure Troves and Antiquities of the Moscow Kremlin Exposition in the Annunciation Cathedral 30:36 Annunciation Cathedral 34:18 Walk from Tsar Cannon to Zar Bell in the courtyard 35:34 A walk in the park of the Kremlin 40:46 A closer look on the broken side of the Zar Bell and walk along the south side of the Kremlin 44:03 At the entrance and in the reception hall of the Armoury Chamber 45:51 Start of the exhibition of the Armoury Chamber on the second floor 1:19:37 Continuation of the exhibition of the Armoury Chamber on the first floor Walk through Moscow Kremlin and Kremlin Armoury chamber #kremlin #moscow #KremlinArmoury
