Prize Fighter (Sega CD) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Sega's 1994 FMV boxing game for the Sega CD, Prize Fighter. Fought and defeated all four boxers in the game, and all dropped within the first round. I love the black-and-white look of this game! It looks super clean compared to most Sega CD FMV games, and it suits the tone that's so nicely set up by the cool intro. I did turn training mode on to enable those little arrows around the video windows. I had most of the timings memorized, but they were a useful guide if I wasn't sure how to read a particular move. If you try to play solely by using those arrows, well, good luck. You'll never be able to press them fast enough to keep up with the pace of the match. This is the entire playthrough, I didn't cut any matches out, including the multiple fights to raise my fighter's level to stand a chance against the other opponents. I've listed the times for each below: 3:26 vs. Honeyboy 12:48 vs. Mega Joe 21:32 vs. T Rex 36:15 vs. Nuke the Duke 45:03 - Secret bonus movie - a behind-the-scenes, making of featurette (in color) of Prize Fighter. Man I was lucky taking out Nuke with that first knockdown - I was really wondering if I'd be able to pull off a win against him with how low my power points were. Lots of memorization to this one. The game also had a fair number of recognizable faces in it, including Ben Bray (from Iron Man), Michael Buffer (the famous 'let's get ready to rumble!' announcer guy), Dick Miller (Gremlins), and some famous stuntmen like Gene Lebell. __________ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
