Walking Tour of the Colosseum | 2023!

When in Rome (see what I did there?) we took a trip to the amazing Colosseum and thought we would do a walking tour of one of the Wonders of the World! Recorded in January 2023, it was a great way to start the year! Originally called the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Colosseum opened in 80AD and was primarily used for Gladiatorial Games. It could even be flooded for the recreation of famous naval battles! Years of disrepair through earthquakes or using the stones for other buildings in Rome (including St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican) has left the Colosseum in a slightly lesser state yet it is still an utterly impressive site and a must see for any trip to Rome.
