A lot of people say you could buy a decent electric and a decent acoustic for the same price as the American acoustasonic stratocaster - and they are right - but this is really 7 different acoustic guitars with some electric sounds as well. This is best intended for someone that likes to play electrics, but likes sounding like an acoustic guitar and doesn't get along with the action height of acoustic guitars/their big bodies.
