The Australian’s National Affairs Editor Joe Kelly says the federal and state Labor government decisions around the budget will make the Reserve Bank’s job “harder over time”. “The Reserve Bank board released its statement, it contained a new and, I think, very revealing line saying it was concerned about the final budget outcomes, this is the federal and state government budget,” he said. “Decisions contributing to expansionary settings which will make the Reserve Bank’s job harder over time.”
