In this video we are heading to Joshua chapter 4 and 5 Gilgal which is in the Eastern border of Jericho. Gilgal is the place where the Israelites camped after crossing the Jordan River. The Hebrew name Gilgal means 'circle of stones'. Gilgal is mentioned 39 times in the book of Joshua. At Gilgal the Israelites first tasted the produce of Canaan and they celebrated Passover here. A day after the Israelites celebrated Passover at Gilgal, the manna ceased to appear. At Gilgal Joshua circumcised the Israelites and erected 12 stones as a memorial of God drying river Jordan for the Israelites to cross over. King Saul was anointed King at Gilgal. Prophet Elijah and Elisha were at Gilgal.
