This plant has been in the works since 2021 as a result of increasing demand from the pandemic and inadequate pressing capacity to keep up. The subscription based "Vinyl Me Please" leaders thought a plant that could prioritize their needs and provide flexibility quick turnaround was the best way to control their own destiny. Unfortunately, optimistic starting date target kept slipping as the difficulty of starting a new plant, in a state which had no previous approval experience, proved to present a bigger challenge than anticipated for all parties. The delays and cost challenges came into 2024 and the VMP leadership left as an investor with a new investor taking the reigns to capitalize on their work to start pressing here in Q2 of 2024. And so this new pressing plant changed names and ownership and is ready to start pressing records!
