It is a relatively small and agile aircraft, and was a thorough match to American aircraft of the time, giving the MiG-21 a sound reputation as an effective fighter, and is still in active service with some air forces today. Battlefield Vietnam In Battlefield Vietnam, the MiG-21 is an advanced jet fighter operated by the North Vietnamese Army. It is flown alongside the MiG-17, it is the NVA counterpart to the American F-4 Phantom II.
