Il a construit lui-même un petit orgue personnel sur lequel il exécute quelques morceaux, montrant toutes les possibilités et tous les effets de l'instrument.Puis dans la cathédrale, Pierre COCHEREAU présente l'orgue de Notre Dame de Paris, datant de 1868.
