Big Build Time!!! We do a lot of package builds here at Vengeance Racing, but every now and then we have a customer that comes to us for something that is wild and allows us to show the extent of what our company is capable of. Mr. Priest brought us his 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE for the ultimate multi purpose build. What we mean by multi purpose is a car that is not only competitive at the drag strip, but also on the road course, as well as being comfortable for the street to go out to dinner in. In most cases, this means the car would have some compromises since we all know the best drag setup isn't the same as the best road race setup and neither make for the best street setup in most cases. This no compromise build has achieved all of these things thanks to careful planning and execution as well as using trusted parts that work well together! We went with their LTX 427” Sleeved Aluminum Short Block with Large Bore CID Race Cylinder Heads which have been a proven combination time and time again. For the supercharger, we went with the popular Magnuson TVS2650 Supercharger kit with their 112mm snout to pair perfectly with the Nick Williams 112mm Throttle Body. To keep the supercharger belt making maximum grip we chose the TooHighPSI 10-Rib drive system with our Vengeance Racing Hyper Idler support system, we are super proud to say between all the dyno pulls and street pulls done on this car we used the same belt throughout the process with no belt slip. Due to the multi-purpose nature of this build we added our SmoothBoost valve on the Magnuson 2650 supercharger. This allows us to control boost by bleeding it off through the valve, so instead of swapping pulleys to increase or decrease power it can be altered by turning the adjustment knob installed on the center console. This allows us to change the power level from 800rwhp all the way up to 1300+rwhp. To provide adequate fueling to the engine, we went with the Crawford Racing/Holley Dominator Port injection system controlled via the Holley Dominator ECU. On a build of this power level we would typically go with a Fore Triple in tank pump system but due to the road racing this car will be doing we went with a Radium Triple Pump Surge tank to guarantee there will never be fuel starvation even in the most extreme track driving scenarios. Something that makes this build truly special is the RTS 6XD Sequential Transmission. With a nice, light shift pull, and awesome carbon fiber shift lever, the driving experience is taken to a whole new level which leads us to say “Sequential the World” We are super thankful to Mr. Priest for allowing us the opportunity to build this special car and show off the amazing talent our technicians possess here at Vengeance Racing!
