Time Crisis 3 (PS2) - No Damage - 2,349,720

Here's my first no damage playthrough of Time Crisis 3! This is the PlayStation 2 version, which I'm playing via the PCSX2 emulator with a GUN4IR. I consider this just a 1CC/no-miss demonstration, rather than a scoring one. Arguably the hardest Time Crisis game, it'll challenge you harshly in terms of score and survival. It also introduces a new weapon switching mechanic, and probably has my favorite soundtrack in the series. A quick aside--there are a few graphical glitches in the PCSX2 emulation, namely the mysterious white and black boxes that show up in two scenes. More commentary below. ---------------------------------------------------------- ▶ Like - Comment - Subscribe    / @multibrawlr   ▶Twitter   / multibrawlr   ▶Twitch   / multibrawlr   In Time Crisis 3, you can now swap weapons by hiding in cover and pulling the trigger. Pistol is generally the best, machine gun is nice for combos, while shotgun and grenade launcher have more situational uses for scoring. Shooting yellow soldiers awards ammo to these special weapons. The scoring seems to be lifted from Time Crisis II, in terms of comboing enemies, getting more points for beating scenes quickly, and how you earn an increasing No-Miss Hit Bonus every 10 hits. It's important to maintain the No-Miss Hit Bonus as much as possible. I'm not good at this, so I decided to focus less on scoring and more on beating the game without taking damage. Much of this game's difficulty comes from bullet spongy enemies, red bullets that often get camouflaged in the action, a few "cheap" moments where red soldiers -- who always shoot when given the chance -- are shoved in your face, and a pretty chaotic final stage, with three bosses for you to contend with (two of which you fight at once). Wish the score could've been a bit higher but it is what it is. It's really hard because you have to be so dainty with your accuracy. I find it frustrating, and prefer the more lenient scoring of Time Crisis 4, or the No-Miss Hit bonus tech being in a much shorter game like Time Crisis II. I've mentioned this on Twitter before, but honestly I enjoy playing Time Crisis 3 more casually, not worrying about points. I really don't want a House of the Dead 4-type situation where my enjoyment of the game fades due to focusing on points and ultimately not enjoying the scoring strategy as much. But I don't know--do you think I should give score runs on this game a second chance? Let me know. #arcade #namco #timecrisis #retro #retrogaming 00:00 - Stage 1 Intro 0:55 - Stage 1 Area 1 4:08 - Stage 1 Area 2 7:37 - Stage 1 Area 3 (BOSS: Victor Zahn) 11:48 - Stage 2 Intro 13:05 - Stage 2 Area 1 16:57 - Stage 2 Area 2 20:59 - Stage 2 Area 3 (BOSS: Randy Garrett) 24:27 - Stage 3 Intro 25:11 - Stage 3 Area 1 (BOSS: Wild Dog and Wild Fang) 30:19 - Stage 3 Area 2 33:59 - Stage 3 Area 3 (BOSS: Giorgio Zott) 37:05 - Ending/Credits 39:09 - Final Result
