Just seeing Ewan and Hayden on screen together again was great. After watching episode 5, I came up with an idea for AOTC fan edit with this whole training sequence inserted right before the elevator scene as an introduction of Anakin and Obi-Wan. But I scrapped that idea since both Ewan and Hayden obviously look different from what they did 20 years ago. Then yesterday I saw people on YouTube creating some cool de-aging effect and I just wanted to try it myself. I feel like some shots of Anakin have already been edited but I tried to make him look younger to match with AOTC. I’ve never done de-aging before so it may not look great. But it’s always good to learn new skills as a fan editor. I mainly used FaceApp and EbSynth to create a de-aged face and used Davinci and Affinity Photo for minor adjustments. This is the first time I used EbSynth to create a de-aging effect. And I’m quite satisfied with result. I think some shots turned out better than others.
