The webinar was recorded during Federica Muscaritoli's Evaluation Seminar at the University of Copenhagen, a mandatory requirement for PhD students at the Faculty of Law. About two-thirds into their PhD, students submit their written work to an external assessor, an expert in the thesis subject, for detailed and impartial feedback in a public session. The webinar was chaired by Associate Professor Marta Andhov, with feedback from Endowed Professor Sarah Schoenmaekers. The PhD thesis investigates what is the role of public procurement in the fight against climate change with an exclusive focus on the EU legal system by analyzing primary and secondary EU climate and environmental law in light of Directive 2014/24 on the procurement of goods, services and works. The webinar specifically focuses on the interaction between Article 18(2) of Directive 2014/24 (the ‘sustainability principle’) and one of the cardinal environmental principles of the EU Treaties, Article 11, known as the ‘Environmental Integration Principle’
