In this part of our series on the techniques of the late Dr. Sachio Ashida 9th dan, we are looking at one of the least performed of the Katas, Kime Shiki. Kime Shiki has now been organized as part of the Seiryoku-Zenyo-Kokumin-Taiiku, it is in Part 2 known as Sotai-renshu...Ju Shiki is also part of this group, but is not shown in this video. There are 5 techniques performed kneeling, and 5 techniques performed standing. The video is poor quality as it was taken in the very early 1980s by more primitive video cameras commercially available. Nonetheless, the video is clear enough to gain valuable information about this Kata and the techniques contained within.
