Larry Norman, the grandfather of Christian Rock came to Barrie, Ontario in September 1994 where he played at Barrie Alliance Church. The Dustkickers opened up for him. Larry gave a lengthy concert full of anecdotes, jokes and classic songs. This was during a brief time in Larry's life when his health had improved significantly and was travelling and sounding very much like he did in the 70's and early 80's I was 12 when I attended this concert. I later found out a buddy of mine who I met years later was also there and videotaped the evening. He graciously allowed me to borrow the HI8 camcorder tape and digitize it for the world to enjoy. Larry was and is a legend of CCM. It's great to be able to remember him as he was in this concert; a talented and gifted singer/songwriter.
