The Scarpa Terra is a classic uk walking boot with a modern twist. Occasionally, (and inaccurately), called the Terra 2, this is the latest edition of the classic SCARPA Terra. Updated in 2018 with a wider toe area and a stiffer sole unit, it finds a sweet spot in UK hill walkers general requirements. Perfect for long moorland trails or light mountain use, this boot will be a companion to those who love walking. A generous PU midsole and semi-stiffened stability board, coupled with the excellent Vibram outsole, gives a stable and very cushioned footbed. This is coupled with a full-grain nubuck leather upper and this is backed by the ever reliable gore-tex waterproof membrane. These two elements combine to produce a stable, comfortable and reliably waterproof walking boot. Diana has owned a pair of Terra for a number of years and they can be seen in the video in action. She loves their relatively lightweight nature, but appreciates the full leather upper backed by the gore-tex membrane which results in dry feet, whatever the weather! Used to walk the North York Moors National Park trails and the wonderful Lake District and Scottish highlands, these boots have been put through their paces and not found wanting. The leather will require regular after care, but this is made easy by using either Scarpa's own HS12 cream of the Nikwax water-proof cream for leather. Failure to do so will result in reduced performance and premature cracking of the leather.
