The Indian Navy has commissioned its new submarine-hunter helicopters - the MH-60R Seahawk, often referred to as 'Romeo'. The helicopters, which have been manufactured in the United States, made their debut in Kerala as part of the new squadron, the INAS 334. Included in their arsenal are Mark 54 torpedoes and AGM-114 Hellfire precision strike missiles. The helicopters represent a powerful deterrent to potential hostility in the Indian Navy's area of responsibility - the entire Indian Ocean.
