Last weekend we enjoyed a fabulous day out at Colchester Zoo. We are a family of animal lovers so a zoo is a great day out for all of us. Colchester is one of my favourite UK zoos, it's small enough to get around in a day trip but large enough to home most of the major zoo animals . Their fabulous habitats are so well designed -you really feel like you've stepped into the animal's world but they are not at all disturbed. Ticket prices are reasonable - esecially if you buy in advance online - and we felt that the cost of snacks etc. in the zoo wasn't as high as many of the other zoos and theme parks we've visited. Highly recommend you put a trip to Colchester zoo on the agenda when you're in East Anglia or even the London area.
