PC Longplay [810] The Bluecoats - North vs South

http://www.longplays.org Played by: Eino Remake of the classic Amiga game for smartphones and Windows. Developed by Microids and released in 2012. I'm playing the Confederate States. The mouse cursor didn't get recorded in the video, because I had "hide cursor" enabled in FRAPS. Just noticed that after I had already recorded the game. It should be obvious where the troops are moving and the crosshair is visible during shooting minigames. Core of the game is essentially the same as the original, but otherwise not so much. Fort runs are replaced by a crosshair shooting and train robbing running by horseback riding with shooting. Battles are now controlled with mouse. It's annoying when you're used to controlling units directly and now they don't seem to do what you want them to do. An additional feature is the shop where money can be used for different "upgrades" instead of just getting more units. All of the upgrades are more or less useless so the shop is just a gimmick. It's not a terrible remake, but I don't really like anything about it much either. Just lacks the attitude and fun gameplay of the original. - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
