WHAT A NIGHT!!! A beautiful winters day turning into complete hardship dealing with unforseen circumstances whilst camping on the summit of Blencathra in the Lake District UK. I would never have believed that at 830m above sea level with a temperature of -5 degrees C it would, in a couple of hours, raise the temperature by at least 10 degrees and thaw out a frozen mountain. All water seemed to run towards and through my tent! Dealing with the problems by being calm and thinking carfully of all angles of risk and acting accordingly kept Blue and I safe. Enjoy the outdoors and minimise your risks but never stop adventuring!
