Nutshell - Alice In Chains Fingerstyle Guitar Cover with Tabs

Here's my fingerstyle guitar cover (with tabs!) of Nutshell by Alice In Chains. My arrangement is in standard tuning, no capo needed. The first time I ever heard this song was Stain'd's live cover. Funny thing is, I didn't realize it was a cover of an AIC song until much later. And then of course, I ran out and bought AIC's Jar of Flies. Nutshell is a great song - one I've listened to over and over again. As always, I tried to keep my arrangement very close to the recorded version (AIC's!), even the guitar solo at the end of the song, as best I could. Although, I did slow the tempo of the song a bit and played it in standard tuning instead of AIC's typical 1/2-step-down tuning. The chorus has that in-your-face electric guitar riff that provides a nice contrast to the mellow-ness of the verses. To replicate that riff, I went up the neck and used rest strokes to make those notes really pop and ring out. Those rest strokes are challenging timing-wise if you're not used to them. Fun song and worth the time to learn. Hope you enjoy!
