As we reach our goal of 200 subscribers, I decided to put forth an equal amount of dollars, $200, and bought the TTArtisan 50mm f/1.4 Tilt Lens to celebrate our milestone! This lens is insane - like seriously. It's an f/1.4 beast, with knobs, dials, rings, and turn-screws sticking out from every direction. The lens itself seems to be made of depleted uranium, at least that how much seems to weigh — this lens is easily as heavy as the much larger 24-105mm F/4.0. This lens's superpower lies within its ability to tilt off axis, thus rendering the world in a stunning display of impossibly shallow depth-of-field. Those familiar with Tilt/Shift lenses will also be aware of the macro-effect these lenses can produce, producing a scene as if it were in miniature.
