PM Lee said he had learnt about the relationship sometime after the 2020 general election, but did not know when it began. Mr Tan has also resigned from his position as MP of Marine Parade GRC, while both have resigned from the People’s Action Party (PAP). PM Lee said the resignations are necessary to maintain the high standards of propriety and personal conduct.
