2 Champion Banjo-ers Play Cripple Creek

Here I am playing with my new pal Odin at the 2024 Topenga banjo fiddle festival! He won first place in the Advanced Traditional banjo contest, and I won second! So naturally, as the two Champion Banjo Players of the day, we had to do some jamming. He has such a unique style of playing, and an even more unique banjo! I'm a big fan. You can see here that we've swapped banjos for fun; his banjo has a metal rim and nylon strings, giving it a really cool plunky sound that I hadn't heard on a banjo before, and I think it goes well with the brighter, chirpier tone of my banjo. Also, I may have gone and bought a bright yellow sport coat from a booth at the festival to match my bright yellow bucket hat... but hey, what is prize money for if not snazzy vintage fits and overpriced coffee? I think we're in G tuning capo'd to A here, but it was all a blur with all the re-tuning that happens during jam sessions haha.
