The “One Love One Drum: Drumming for Inclusion” project was a cutting-edge project, aligned with the priorities of Key Action 2 of the Erasmus + Youth in Action Program. Its main objective was to produce a pedagogical tool that would become a powerful educational tool in the area of non-formal education, for the social inclusion of groups of young people marginalized and / or excluded from society. Using percussion and rhythm as tools and which are already used regularly by the partner organizations and that belong to the cultural worldwide movement BATALÁ MUNDO. Batala Mundo — an international samba reggae performance group — was founded in Paris in 1997 by Giba Gonçalves, a Bahian percussionist and dancer. Batala promotes and disseminates Brazilian culture through music played on a variety of traditional drums, surdos, dobras, repiniques and snares. This international movement shares the samba reggae musical arrangements composed by Giba Gonçalves, as well as graphics, costumes, and dance movements.
