I’ve been away from Trinidad and Tobago for a while now, and I had a craving for some doubles! Come with me as I head to a Miami-area Trini restaurant with a friend so she can try doubles for the first time! Doubles are a staple in Trinidad and Tobago. They consist of a fried, doughy flatbread called bara, which they top with chana (chickpeas), along with various chutneys and sauces like tamarind and chadon beni. Most doubles are vegetarian, but some variations add meat as well!
