From downtown Chicago, take I-290 West and exit at Harlem Avenue to the Oak Park neighborhood, a suburb of Chicago, where you can visit the world’s largest collection of buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio is located on Chicago Avenue. The home and studio is three blocks east and on the right side of the street. The Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio in Oak Park is the birthplace of Wright's signature style and the first project he enjoyed complete artistic control over. From this point, within 25 mins walk, you will see Frank Lloyd Wright buildings along with neighborhood houses. Some of the Frank Lloyd Wright homes are private residences, while many others roll out the welcome mat for visitors. It is a good walk in very nice neighborhood. If you would love to come visit and walk around the neighborhood, anyone is welcome with no cost. Also, paid and guided tours are available.
