Waiting In Vain - Bob Marley (cover) by Joanna G

Aloha all! I thought it'd be fun to do this little cover of one of my favorite songs by Bob Marley. I'm using a digitech Jamman stereo loop pedal to lay out the tracks in this cover. Everything you see/hear in this video was recorded live in one take due to all the effects. Thanks for listening! Love always, Joanna G Jettpack Facebook: Joanna Gerolaga Instagram: Jomamz68 Hi hi! I'm super stoked to announce some exciting news to you all! I've made the decision to make a move across the sea to LA! I'm taking this as an opportunity to grow and learn so that I can better my soul and my passions for music. I'm not necessarily going for music because I don't want to lay any expectations or pressure on myself because it is such a huge life change for me, but I am hoping to find a job within the music industry there. I'm really opening up my mind and heart to experiencing what else the world has to offer aside from my beautiful home, Hawaii, and i'm starting with LA. For those of you who don't know much about what's been going on with my life as of the past year, here are a few updates: I graduated college in May 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Minor focus in Women's Studies. I quit my job as a juice bar girl at the Honolulu Club fitness gym, and once I did that, I was able to land music gigs daily so i've been able to provide more than enough financially for myself and my two cats as a full-time musician. During the daytime, I helped start a company with my business partner, making me the Director of Turnkey Operations for our company. If anyone is curious about that, please go check out Semprose.com! We worked long and hard on it but we technically still haven't publicly announced it to the public yet. But it has been up and running and successful for the past 4-6 months! Also this year, I was able to open for youtube star Leroy Sanchez at the Republic, and for LA singer/songwriter Ernie Halter at the Dorris Duke Theater! These are just a few events I am extremely thankful for this past year that deal with myself/my career. I bought my one-way plane ticket for January 12th, 2017, so please come hang out with me before then! Also, my car broke down for good so you're going to have to pick me up :P LOL :) I'm going to need a lot of support from my family and friends....but I am always opposed to things such as "go fund me/kickstarter" because it doesn't feel right to me. Idk, i'm weird. If anyone wants to help support me financially, feel free to contact me directly, or even support me by just coming out to one of my gigs to hang out with me! Anyway, here is a cover I did this week, filmed by my good friend Nico Eder! He's a super talented photographer and a great man of Christ! He's also single so go check him out! HAHA jk jk. This video is a bit long because I wanted to show everyone the "looping" process that I do at my shows. Everything in this music video was recorded LIVE in ONE TAKE - no pre-recordings or anything. So first I lay out a simple melody, and build onto that by adding chorus/reverb/trem, then onto a baseline, and a beat with my mouth. I'm also just learning how to solo and do leads to so don't tease me on that okay? LOL. Anyway, if you don't want to watch the whole loop process, skip to like 1:10 in! This post is getting long. I'm ending it here. I LOVE you all!
