The Most Notorious Section of South Sacramento and home to the G-Parkway Mobb. G-Parkway was once the most violent section of the City with over 30+ Confirmed Homicides during the 1980's through the early 2000's before the City took control of the complex. This fortress consisted of 464 units with each Street, Alley and Court home to rival gangs from various parts of Sacramento and Bay Area. G-Parkway was known for Drugs, Gangs, and Murders with many of the complexes abandoned, boarded up and occupied by dope fiends. By the Early 2000's the complex was split into 2 sides with G-Parkway Mobb Controlling the Northern Half (Murder Alley) and The Garden Block Crips Controlling the Southern portion. G-Parkway was also the landing point for many families relocating from Oakland's 69th Village when the projects were tore down in 2000. In 2004 a Gang Injunction was placed on G-Parkway Mobb and the Complex was Bulldozed and Redeveloped into Phoenix Park. This caused many families to disperse and relocate around South Sac, leading to the South Sac Iraq moniker. Late Rapper Mac Dre had close ties to G-Parkway after he relocated to Sacramento from his Prison release.
