“À Noite (interlude)" / "Lua (feat. MARO)" by Jacob Collier [OFFICIAL AUDIO] from Djesse Vol. 2 I recorded this song with MARO the day that we met in Los Angeles last November... which feels like such a long time ago, because we have been touring the world together for the past 8 months since then!! She is an utterly extraordinary musician and such a dear friend, with a voice like velvet. I was certain I wanted strings on this one, and eventually realised that the only instrumentation agile and juicy enough to dance in the right was a sextet. I composed the intro (À Noite) and the accompaniment to Lua, between 7am and 1pm on the day of the session at Air Studios in London, and walked in with score in hand.
