Wife/Sweetheart Pastry”. The outer crust is made using soft dough for fluffy flaky puff pastry, inner filling is made of candied winter melon, coconut flakes, and white sesame seeds to make glutinous rice fillings. Before baking, crust is brushed with two layers of egg yolk and sprinkled with black white sesame seeds. Freshly baked Lou Po Beng, black and white sesame seeds on top bring out crust golden color, so appetizing. Tear apart, fluffy flaky puff pastry is revealed, combined with soft glutinous stringpull fillings, full of sesame, winter melon and glutinous rice flavor ~ just the right amount of sweetness. Full of ancient flavor~ Storage Method: Best eaten warm after baked. After cooling, store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze in freezer.
