We purchased the Proaim 16ft Heavy Duty Track for about $700 including shipping. Unfortunately, we should have saved our money. The dolly track is a complete disappointment because of the rough transitions from section to section. The track is made from 1.25 aluminum speed rail which makes it much after than steel and over time will likely become unusable from transporting and getting dents and dings in the track surfaces. The connection points are sloppy and the skate dollies are not smooth over the gaps. In our opinion, this is not a great product, in fact it was a complete waste of money and will likely not be used, ever in our studio. You cannot blame the skate dollies, because, they are also Proaim and worked great on standard steel track. The track also has no way to maintain spacing. The fold up design makes it virtually impossible to get a precise 24.5" on the rails. Overall the design is poor, faulty and does not do what tracks are supposed to do, which is provide a steady smooth shot. The tracks are usable, but why should you have to use stabilization, or a gimbal when using tracks?
