Historic Normandy: D-Day 80 Years Later Through a Vintage Lens

Join me on an unforgettable journey back in time as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. In this special video, we travel to Normandy in three GMC trucks, as part of our tour across the Normandy coast line I get out my trusty Speed Graphic and share the highs as well as the lows of using film. I explore the historic beaches of Normandy using a vintage Speed Graphic camera from 1946, capturing the essence of a pivotal moment in history through the same type of lens used during the era. 📸 In this video, you will see: A re-enactment of the 3rd Auxiliary Surgical Unit in 1944, honouring the brave medics who provided crucial care on the front lines. Stunning black-and-white photographs taken with the Speed Graphic camera, providing a nostalgic glimpse into the past as well as other shenanigans. ❤️ Don’t forget to: - Like this video if you enjoyed it. - Subscribe to my channel for more historical explorations and vintage photography. - Leave a comment sharing your thoughts or any personal connections to WWII history. 📷 Follow Me on Instagram: For more behind-the-scenes content, historical insights, and vintage photography, follow me on Instagram: @lukesphotographycornwall 🛒 Shop My Prints and Memorabilia: If you loved the photos featured in this video, visit my Etsy shop to purchase prints and other memorabilia: https://lukesshopcornwall.etsy.com #DDay80 #Normandy #VintagePhotography #WWIIHistory #HistoricJourney #Reenactment #SpeedGraphicCamera #HistoryThroughTheLens #RememberingHeroes #CommemorateDDay
