We took the Special Express 43 down south to Surat Thani. This is the only Special Express that runs during the day. Most people take the night train because it makes catching the ferry to Koh Samui feasible. If you take the day train, you arrive too late to take the day ferries, although you could take a night boat. We decided that Surat Thani might be an interesting place so rather than rush to Koh Samui, we stayed in the city for five days. Our Surat Thani video will follow this video in one week.
