The San Joaquin Valley Railroad is a shortline freight hauler owned and operated by the Genesee & Wyoming railroad company; who owns numerous shortline railroads around the world. During a vacation to the Valley to see family, we took a railfanning trip down to a spot my Step Grandfather knew where the SJVR does a lot of switching. We took the opportunity to watch SJVR GP38-2 # 2046 switch a bunch of tank cars in an industrial spur before taking a cut of presumably empty boxes back to Exeter, with a friendly crew who not only let us film but gave us pointers on the next move so we could plan accordingly! *Note: This video is not sponsored but was entirely made possible by Recuva and DMDE; two data recovery programs which helped recover the ENTIRETY of this video after an SD card corruption.
