Last Time: After a few months of travel, the party finally makes it to The Stormy Peninsula. Upon arriving near the island, a few lights were seen from the ship on the peninsula. The group decided to dock the boat on the southern beach and headed toward the closest light sources. Traveling along the land, the atmosphere was harsh with rain, thunder, and lighting. The group is approached by a strange human figure, Dixon, who appears to be running from something. He joins the group along the journey toward the outpost known as Thunderstorm Redoubt. Along the path, the group was attacked by these large bipedal toad-like creatures. This was just a small group, but Dixon tells the party that these Slaad are not to be trifled with. The group makes it to the tiny outpost, where some peculiar Orcs greet them. The group stays to rest from the stormy weather and enjoys different flavorful shrimp dishes cooked up to order by a very friendly Orc. This outpost is relatively small and doesn't have much to offer for the party to see, buy, or trade. The party hears the word of a knowledgeable old hermit who lives on the peninsula's northern tip. The group decides to head back to the beach and unfold their ship to sail toward the hermit's house. When the party arrives at the hermit's hut, they are welcomed and given information about a cave on the peninsula where great power is said to be found—the cave in the mountains near another Orc outpost, Muskstorm Harborage. The party decided to stay the night with the hermit in his hut for a night's rest and would travel to the mountain pass at the north part of the peninsula to get to Muskstorm. A few party members are becoming very cautious about their newly founded companion, Dixon, questioning his motives and purpose for being on the island and where he came from—an island ruled by vampires. In the morning, the group found themselves asleep outside the hut. Quickly unfolding their ship, the group sailed to the northern part of the peninsula, which they believed would be the quickest way to the Orc Outpost of Muskstorm Harborage. A small trek through the mountains is all it should take to get to the outpost.
