Game: Final Fantasy VI Port: Steam Lives: Lightning, Fire, Wind, Poison The superboss of the game: Kaiser Dragon. He wouldn't be too bad, if you actually had to slug through his lives. To compensate though, his final life is just ridiculous with the counters. However, I pull through, without any of that gimmicky, boring OP stuff like Quick, Ultima, Valiant Knife, Ultima Weapon abuse that 99.9% of the playthroughs do and actually Rage with Gau (which I admit after watching video, was not a safe idea), even managed to pull off an Ultima interception. If I can do it, so can you! ANTI-NORM RULES ================ - Active Mode - No Summoning Espers - No Ultima/Quick - No Phantom Rush - No Valiant Knife/Ultima Weapon - No Master's Scroll/Dragon Horn - No Ward Bangles or Moogle Charms PLAN ===== The Kaiser Dragon has 5 lives and each has 65000+ HP. It will burn through a life if it takes that much damage or it casts Barrier Change after inaction. Once it reaches it's final life, it will stop using it and you have to slay it. Each form has an assortment of attacks and counters. You must survive through the forms. You can try damaging it if you wish, but you should try to break it's Holy (can use Hyperdrive as counter), Poison (if left too long, can Cloudy Heaven) and Ice (constantly Freezes party members) as fast as possible so they don't get progressively worse on you. The worst attacks in these phases are Hyperdrive, Meteor (monster version) and Quake. In the final stand, it will use an assortment of devastating attacks and counter with Last Breath (Attack x 8) or Revenge Blast (MAX HP - Current HP to 1 person, cannot be dodged). You must deal with the counters as they happen and it helps to have Reraise and put people in the Back Row. When slain, it will try to destroy you with Ultima. You must either get off the ground, intercept it with Runic or have Reraise stacked up. Any armor piercing moves would definitely help (200 defenses across the board) and non-elemental is recommended. The attack pattern it is using is the element it is weak against if you must resort to Elements (eg. Poison is Poison).
