I have been asked for a long time to make a video of mending a heart using a loom. Finally I did it. I will briefly describe the process. First, using a template, I draw a heart on the fabric. Then I pull the threads on the hooks (there is a separate thread for each hook) At the end of the video you will understand why I leave the ends of the threads. When you have pulled as many threads as you need, you start darning. You need to start from the very beginning. center from the bottom. And gradually you need to make increments on the sides. But take your time, make sure that the darning is even. We stitch until we have grabbed all the hooks. We darn a couple of rows evenly, and then we begin to make decreases. We do this very smoothly so that there are no sharp transitions. After we have finished the darning, remove the metal part with the hooks and carefully pull the ends of the threads, giving the shape of the heart. Close the loops, remove the hanging ends of the threads (you can see all this in my other videos) In the end, to hide all the imperfections, I processed the heart with a chain stitch.
