Fight Against Monsters (PC-98 Touhou-style Remix) | Super Mario RPG

After doing several PC-98 remixes from the Mario & Luigi games, I felt I needed to do one from its inaugural title. This is a PC-98 remix of the famous battle theme from Super Mario RPG. This was one of the many classic games I got to experience on the Wii Virtual Console when I was younger. I was 11 when I got my hands on this game. I absolutely loved it. At the time, I had no idea who Square was, until I later found out it was the former name of Square Enix. Super Mario RPG was the game that also motivated me to play the Final Fantasy games, a series I still love to this day. I was in the UK at the time the remake was unveiled. I remember watching its unveiling in a hotel lobby and I ended up going nuts about it. I was there for only one night and I ended up staying the same night as a wedding after party; some of its attendees and the lobby staff looked at me funny.
