We took time to explore the iconic Estadio Centenario (in Spanish: Estadio Centenario, centenario – century) It is a football stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. The national team of Uruguay and "Peñarol" play their home matches there. It was built on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first Uruguayan constitution and was inaugurated exactly 100 years after its signing - on July 18, 1930 with a match of the first ever World Cup. We rode the extremely well-arranged public transport, relaxed in the cafes, walked around the center... Nice city, great memories!
