It hinges on the player’s desire to engage with it to its fullest. You can’t pick this game up, put it down, and come back to it a month later. More than any other game I’ve played, it wants you to think about it in-between play sessions, to consider its many interesting characters and the philosophies they practice, to want to eat its central mystery, not just unravel it.
