**3 HOUSES FULLY ENGULFED** Calgary Firefighters Attending The Cougar Ridge 2 Alarm FIRE | CFD

At approximately 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3rd, Fire crews on Engine 29 received a call for a possible structure fire. As they left quarters, still 6 minutes away, the Captain reported a massive amount of smoke coming from 151 Cougartown Close SW. On arrival, Engine 29 immediately began deploying attack lines, prepping hydrants and utilizing specialized nozzles like the deck gun and Blitzfire nozzle. A second alarm was called as three houses were fully involved. CFD from all parts of the city responded, along with a massive CPS and EMS response. An exterior, defensive attack was utilized, and were able to save surrounding homes. In this video, Haz Mat 39 is responding up Bow Trail, Ladder 6 and High Rise 2 arriving, and footage of the fire just as crews began throwing water on it. Luckily no one was injured, although multiple pets are unaccounted for. Thoughts and prayers are with the families affected.
